Try opening the rear door driver side and operate the inside handle.

If the lock cylinder does not rotate and it seems as if yours does not i am sure you thought of using some silicon spray.
Then you rotate the door lock cylinder clockwise not the key.
After you push in the tab locking pin you release the key and let it go back to its vertical position.
